NOTIFICATION

(SALES TAX)

S.R.O. 314 (I)/2006.— In exercise of the powers conferred by the second proviso to clause (46) of section 2 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, the Central Board of Revenue is pleased to fix the value of white crystalline sugar falling under Headings No. 1701.9910 and 1701.9920 of the First Schedule to the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969) for the purpose of sales tax assessment at import stage at the rate of US$ 440 per metric ton.
