NOTIFICATION
(SALES TAX)

S.R.O. 529(I)/2003.— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 71 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following further amendment shall be made in the Special Procedure For Collection And Payment of Sales Tax (Electric Power) Rules, 2000, namely:-

                      In the aforesaid Rules, in rule 7, in sub-rule (2), for the full stop, at the end, a colon shall be substituted and thereafter the following proviso shall be added, namely:-

                    “Provided that the registered consumers shall be entitled to claim input tax adjustment against electricity bills wherein the registration number is written in hand and duly verified or attested by an SDO or Revenue Officer of WAPDA, in charge of the respective Sub-Division or as the case may be a Zonal Controller Billing Officer of KESC, under his stamp and verification file number with date.”.
