S.R.O. 328 (1)/2001.- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34 A of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, and in terms of the order of the Lahore High Court , Lahore, dated the 2nd March, 2001, in writ petition No.13430/2000, the Federal Government, due to the reasons that the cotton was destroyed in an accidental fire and the principal amount of sales tax has already been recovered, is pleased to exempt, as a special case from the payment of the full amount of additional tax equal to thirty-one hundred and twenty-five thousand, two hundred eighty-four rupees imposed under section 34 of the said Act, on nineteen thousand nine hundred bales of cotton purchased by Ms Nishat Mills Limited, Nishatabad, Faisalabad, in the month of November, 1999.
