S.R.O. 628 (I)/2000.- In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 13 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, read with sub-section (3) of the said section, the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the goods imported for exclusive use of M/s Pak Arab Refinery Limited (PARCO)'s Mid Country Refinery Project (MCRP), in terms of Article 8 of the Implementation Agreement signed between the Government of Pakistan and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, shall, with effect from the 3^rd October, 1997, be exempt from payment of sales tax leviable thereon subject to the condition that these goods shall be used exclusively for the said project and shall not be sold or otherwise disposed without payment of sales tax due thereon.
