(Sales Tax)

S.R.O.554(I)/2000.- WHEREAS the Federal Government is satisfied that, inadvertently and as a general practice, sales tax was not charged on loose or unbranded butter supplied by M/s Nestle Milk Pak Limited, Lahore, a registered person, during the period from the 1^st July, 1996, to the 10^th November, 1999;

AND WHEREAS the said registered person did not recover any tax prior to the 10^th November, 1999, and has started paying the tax or is responsible to pay the tax on the said supplies with effect from the 11^th November, 1999;

NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of section 65 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the tax not levied during the aforesaid period shall not be required to be paid by the aforesaid registered person.
