O R D E R

 

 

                        SRO   (I)/2004-  In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the imports and Exports (Control) Act, 1950 (XXXIX of 1950), the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following amendments shall be made in the Import Policy Order, 2004, namely:-

 

In the aforesaid

(a)               In paragraph 3 sub-paragraph (3) shall be omitted;

(b)               After paragraph 11, the following new paragraph shall be inserted, namely;

“12.      Classification of goods.- For proper classification of Goods in term of Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System (H.S. Code), the First Schedule to the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969) i.e. Pakistan Custom Tariff (PCT) shall be referred to and shall have effect accordingly.”;

 

(c)               In Appendix –E, in paragraph-3, for sub-paragraph (4) the following shall be substituted, namely:

“ (4) in case of personal baggage imports, vehicles must be registered in the name of the applicant of least sixty days prior to his departure for Pakistan and in case of transfer of residence at least one year prior to his departure for Pakistan”; and

 

(d)        In Appendix-G, in column (1), against Sr. No. 531, in column 3, after the word “funnel”, the words “other than oil or petrol filters and intake air filters air filters for infernal combustion engines of vehicles falling under chapter 87 of the Pakistan Custom Tariff shall be added.
