492(I)/88.- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Customs Act, 1969(IV of 1969), and in
supersession of this Ministry’s
Notification No. SRO
2(I)/70, dated the
1st January, 1970, the Federal Government is pleased to exempt all such goods falling within the
respective heading/ sub-heading Nos. of the First Schedule to the said act as
are originating in and imported from Iran, Afghanistan, China and Nepal into
Pakistan by land, from so much of the customs duty as is in excess of 25% ad
valorem specified in the First Schedule to the said Act, except the
following:-
1. Industrially manufactured articles of all sorts
whether in finished or
semi-finished state.
2. Tobacco manufactured, cigars and
cigarettes.
3. Saccharine and saccharine tablets.
4. Matches, undipped splints and veneers.
5. Silk raw, silk cocoons and silk waste
and noils.
6. Fabrics containing silk, artificial silk,
cotton or gold or silver thread.
7. Silver bullion and coin, and silver
sheets and plates.
8. Cut-diamonds.
9. Sewing machines.
10. Mechanical lighters.
11. Motor spirit.
12. Kerosene and other mineral
oils suitable for
use as illuminants.
13. Mineral oil.
14. Motor vehicles and parts thereof.
15 Waste and scrap of base metals.
16. Tea.
17. Apples.
